Candidates will be admitted according to the ranking list based on the results of the matriculation examination (so called “the new matura”) or the maturity exam (so called “the old matura”). Evaluation of old matura exams can be converted into points of the matriculation examination:
- the scale with six steps,
- the scale with four steps.
Number of points for the ranking is determined as the weighted average number of points corresponding to the results of the new matura or the old matura in subjects specific to the field of study.
Points for the ranking (R) are calculated using the formula:
R = 0,20 b1 + 0,20 b2 + 0,20 c1 + 0,20 c2 + 0,05 m1 + 0,05 m2 + 0,05 o1 + 0,05 o2
where:
c1, c2 – points for Chemistry
m1, m2 – points for Mathematics
o1, o2 – points for Modern foreign language
One ranked list is created for all candidates. Points for individual subjects are calculated as follows:
candidates with the new matura:
b1 – points for the written exam in Biology ( basic level )
b2 – points for the written exam in Biology ( extended level )
c1 – points for the written exam in Chemistry ( basic level )
c2 – points for the written exam in Chemistry ( extended level )

If there is no grade for a written exam in the graduation certificate of secondary education but such a grade is expected in the qualification procedure, the oral exam grade is taken as the written exam grade and vice versa if there is no grade for an oral exam for a specific subject, the written exam grade is taken as the oral exam grade.
