First-cycle degree programmes

A graduate of first-cycle studies in the field of "Finance and Accounting" - general academic profile will have theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of economic sciences, in particular finance and accounting, the functioning of financial institutions, and will have the ability to identify and analyze economic phenomena and processes in the broadly understood financial sector. (on the money and capital markets). The graduate will understand the causes and effects of economic phenomena at the micro and macroeconomic level in the conditions of an open market economy. The graduate will be able to obtain and process source materials in the field of finance and accounting and other economic sciences, and then analyze them correctly based on contemporary methods of financial and economic analysis, and use them in their professional work. The curriculum will include elements of practical education, which will allow graduates to work in various professions in the field of finance and accounting, both in financial and non-financial institutions, as well as in public finance sector entities, mainly in the departments of financial and accounting services, analyzes and management, finance, planning and budgeting, as well as in auxiliary positions in management accounting units, in the departments of analysis of balance sheet, tax and financial law provisions. The graduate will also be prepared to set up a micro-enterprise and then independently run a business on their own account, along with full documentation of tax settlements and other public and legal settlements.


EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:

Financial director, investment director, owner of his own accounting office, owner of a tax office, chief accountant, financial analyst.

Candidates will be admitted according to the ranking list based on the results of the matriculation examination.

Number of points for the ranking is determined as the weighted average number of points corresponding to the matriculation examination in subjects specific to the field of study.

Points for the ranking (R) are calculated using the formula:

R = 0,2 m1 + 0,2 p1 + 0,1 o1 + 0,2 o2 + 0,3 w2

where:

m1 – points for Mathematics

p1 – points for Polish language

o1, o2 – points for Modern foreign language

w2 – points for Polish language or Mathematics

1 – elementary level or verbal maturity examination

2 – advanced level or written maturity examination

If there is no points or ratings of the required exam for a specific subject in the graduation certificate of secondary education, the ranking value is set to zero points.

At the same time:

  • if there are only points for an extended exam in the graduation certificate of secondary education but points for a basic exam are expected in the qualification procedure, points from the extended exam are taken as points of basic exam,
  • if there is no grade for a written exam in the graduation certificate of secondary education but such a grade is expected in the qualification procedure, the oral exam grade is taken as the written exam grade,
  • subjects equivalent to Computer Science: Elements of Computer Science, Foundations of Computer Science, Information Technology, the subject equivalent to Physics and Astronomy: Physics.

The results obtained by a candidate holding a maturity certificate / secondary school graduation abroad are Polish converted into recruitment points (P) according to the formula:

P = 98 ( S-m) / (M - m) + 2

where:

S - is the calculated rating

M – maximum grade according to the scale used in a foreign school

m – minimum (admitting, qualifying) grade according to the scale used in a foreign school.
