Admission to second degree studies is restricted to persons who hold the title of master’s degreee (MSc), engineer, bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent.

The candidates are admitted according to the ranking list based on the adjusted score indicated on the completed studies diploma and the compatibility or relatedness of completed studies with the selected second degree course.

If the completed course :

  • is compatible with the second degree course, the number of points scored is equal to the adjusted score indicated on the diploma plus two,
  • is related to the second degree course, the number of points scored is equal to the adjusted score indicated on the diploma plus one,
  • is neither compatible nor related to the second degree course, then the score is equal to the adjusted score indicated on the diploma.

In the case of the same place in ranking list an additional criterion is the adjusted score of a diploma examination grade.


A candidate applying for admission to the field of management should have the competences necessary to undertake second-cycle studies in this field, in particular:

  • has extended knowledge of the nature of management sciences, their place in the system of sciences and relations to other sciences,
  • knows the general principles of creating and developing forms of individual entrepreneurship, uses knowledge in the field of science and scientific disciplines appropriate for management,
  • has in-depth skills of observing, searching and processing information on social and economic phenomena in the area of phenomena and processes occurring on the market, using various sources and interpreting them from the point of view of management problems.

  • finance and accounting,
  • computer science and econometrics,
  • logistics,
  • commodity science,
  • management and production engineering.

explanation:

  • a field of study in accordance with the chosen field of study is the same field of completed first-cycle studies with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent in the case of studies abroad)
  • a degree with a master's degree is not considered to be compatible with the

  • a field of study related to the selected second-cycle programme is a field of completed first-cycle studies other than the selected second-cycle programme and indicated above
  • a degree with a master's degree is not recognized as related

Additional recruitment points are not assigned in the case of:

  • when the field of study completed by the candidate is neither compatible nor related to the field of second-cycle studies.

For example, a candidate majoring in:

  • first-cycle studies in management, receives 2 points
  • first-cycle studies in logistics, awarded - 1 point
  • first-cycle studies in biology, obtains - 0 points
  • second-cycle studies (Master's degree) management, receives - 0 points

The final grade, grades for the completed courses and the mean grades (S) granted according to grading systems in other schools and universities are adjusted to the final grade, grades and mean grades (N) according to the grading system used in the University of Zielona Gora according to the following formula: N = 3 ( S-m) / (M – m) + 2, where M is the maximum and m is the minimum (pass grade/qualifying) grade used in the other schools or universities.
